Yes I am.
Frank Ocean- Girlfriend’s Best Friend
Unplanned days turn out to be some of the best, now that I think about it. I assume that it’s one of the reasons why I’ve come to dislike the idea of following through set preparations. Whenever I become exposed to unexpected circumstances, I find myself carefree and enjoying myself more than I anticipate. It’s been a while since I’ve had this experience, and truthfully, I’m really glad how it all turned out. The happiness I feel is overwhelming.
Just months ago I wrote of living a ‘linkless’ life, having no assembly in existence while thriving off of exhaustion. I’ve taken many detours throughout the years, but recently, I’m finding the travel more worth it, figuratively speaking. I only realize it now, but I notice that I’ve gone in circles for too long, and I truly believe that I’ve discovered a way out of the loop that I enclosed myself into. I’m finally content with life, from the relations I managed to fix, revive, and recently establish, to the progression of my own self-esteem. Lately, I haven’t been negatively affected by the idea of being self-reliant. I’ve grown to appreciate the single life and I’ve grown accustomed to the dependence on myself for my own happiness.
I’m becoming more social, more outgoing, and more confident after having a progressive change in mentality. I don’t know if this is a part of growing up, but I’m not complaining.
Postworkout meal of the day: salmon, veggies, egg whites, and soymilk with whey. (Taken with instagram)
Oh, you’re welcome! I try to balance a bit of both. I’m trying to gain more muscle and lose the fat. I usually have a regular rotation at the gym three times a week in regards to weight training and I do a variety of cardio exercises 6 out of the 7 days of the week (elliptical, treadmill, jogging).
Lately I’ve been eating different salad combinations for both lunch and dinner. More protein, less carbs. If you’re asking about a post workout meal, I eat plain Greek yogurt or a smoothie with whey protein. I give myself a cheat meal once a week as a reward because you shouldn’t deprive yourself of good food, haha! Oh, and I read a journal stating that if you’re having trouble sleeping, you should eat some carbs during dinner such as jasmine rice. And most importantly, water is a given.
I’m not much of a health guru, but I hope this helps!
